Etiquette: Can I Buy Klout a Gift in Exchange for +K?

This is a tough one. Let’s start first by saying that this is a question we get a lot. Many of us are just too darned busy with our jobs or … “lives” to spend as much time online as it takes to really win at the game of Klout.

Winning at Klout isn’t easy. If it was, then everyone would be doing it. So it’s very logical that many of our readers would ask if …

… instead of going to all of this trouble,  could we simply bribe Klout by leaving some sort of gift or offering in front of our computer? Then, maybe in exchange for an iPod or a Starbucks gift card, Klout could help us out with the +K situation …

Again, this is a tough one. And the answer is kind of a gray area as our team of analysts is still taking this under advisement. It’s tricky, because though it’s clear that Klout likes to bribe us with hair products and padfolios from basic cable television shows, it not yet certain if the reverse is true. Klout can bribe us to play the game more but can we bribe the game of Klout?

We promise to keep monitoring this situation. In the meantime, maybe you’d like to help us test this theory. Try leaving a gift or two in front of your laptop with Klout open in the browser. Maybe just something small and subtle, like milk and cookies for Santa Klout. If they’re gone the next morning then maybe bump it up to an Applebee’s gift card. See what happens. And, most importantly, monitor your Klout score and report back to us so we can continue to help you and your peers WIN AT KLOUT!
